Diabetic Retinopathy

Diabetic Retinopathy is an eye condition affecting diabetic patients including those with gestational, type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Without treatment, it can lead to loss of vision and even blindness.

Diabetic Retinopathy refers to damage to the retinal vessels in the eye. When these vessels are damaged, it can lead to poor blood flow and inflammation.

If you suffer from diabetes, it is important that you schedule regular eye exams with Dr. Turk and Advanced Eyecare. Dr. Turk will discuss preventive measures, medication intervention and surgical options if necessary.
